ok so I was just gifted a gravel vac from my dad and step mom, its the eheim quick vac pro and they gave it to me because they didnt realise they couldnt use it in their little aquariums (they didnt think it would shoot water out the cartridge like it did, they don't have deep aquariums lol)
I was just wondering if anyone else has used this product and how you liked it.

Heres a link to what it looks like:

Can only be used with gravel bottoms and will make water cloudy if you have any really small stuff in your gravel that can wash through the mesh

I bought one of those to help speed up my water change/maintenance routine since I'm finally going back to work next week.

Have you used it yet?

Yes I have. I've used it in two different 10 gallon tanks (without the extension), and tall 16 and 20 gallon tanks.

It lifted the excess food, etc. off the gravel no problem.
It even picked up empty snail shells, some pest snails, and about 20 baby assassin snails out of one tank...oops.

In my case, it lets me vacuum the tank at my convenience and then use my python to switch out the water the next day.
