It is getting better for the most part, I have been using a clarifier and a green killing machine to try and kill off the free floating pests.

Me too, I would hate to have to take all the plants out to do a bleach dip. I have to have about 50 in there at the current time. About half of those where from the other tanks.

The diatoms in the 150 are clearing up some, the tank is really starting to look great. I added 5 more Cherry Barbs to bring their number up to 14. The big Amazon Sword is almost 24" tall now. Everybody is happy and healthy in the tank.

I got the diatoms under control and the plants have been growing like weeds. I just did some pruning this week between doctors appointments.

 

I hated trying to light my 24 inch tall 180. I may have to look into those beamsworks. My current jungle is doing well enough but I'm planning on adding co2 when I get home. I love how small this large tanks look in photos, especially when some of those rimless 40s look huge.

It just looks small since I really can't stand back far enough to get a whole shot of it with the iPad. So most of the stand get's cut off. The lights are Beamsworks DA series an FSPEC in the back and a standard in the front.

That tank looks amazing. So much growth throughout the tank but also very clear spaces and wide open in the front.

The tank has a 24" width, It has 2 pieces of extra large drift wood in it and a few large and medium pieces. The extra 6-12" in width gives you so much more room for aquascaping. If I ever buy another tank in the sub 100 gallon size it would be a 75 gallon just for the 18" width, they cost just a little more then a 55 but the extra 6" in width is like night and day. I have a 55 gallon and always recommend individuals get a 75 instead. I also have a 100 gallon that has and 18" width and that was a huge upgrade over the 55. The 150 is just awesome for all the room it has to work with.

 

After seeing 55s set up I likely won't ever get one. I was planning on a 75 when I found the deal on my 120 and it is an absolutely massive tank. I finally got it moved into the basement and it's huge relative to all the furniture. Curious to see what I can do with that 24" depth.
