Just unbound and setup my brand new fluval 306 canister filter.
It's quite sleek and can't wait to finish the custom tank stand/cabinet I'm building and get it installed. I've got it working in my 26g for now to start building BB for when I get the 55 filled up.
It certainly has quite the strong output with the "throttle" all the way down. I do like that it is adjustable....my angelfish appreciates that haha.
Was NOT hard to setup at all. Took more time to setup the tubing then it did the actual filter. I did have an issue with the impeller not spinning when I first plugged it in. I had to take the hoses off (thank you for the quick connect fluva!!) Drain some water and open then lid. A quick removal of the impeller cover, plugged it in to make sure it was spinning (it was) and I slowly put the cover back on and that seemed to work no problem. I assume the rubber stuck to the shaft being that it's new.
That's about it for now....just wanted to share. Hopefully I'll be able to add to this post the tank looks even cleaner.....not sure how since I'm pretty good about keeping it clean already but I wouldn't mind any help!
