Hello! After 6 weeks my tank is finally cycled so I’m including some pictures. I went to the store yesterday and I have 12 silver tip tetras and 6 corydoras. Everybody is doing great and getting along. I wanted to get a pair of Bolivian rams but am also considering getting another small school of cardinal or neon tetras... I have a 36 gallon and don’t want to overstock but it’s definitely missing something. What do you guys think? Anyone have any suggestions for types of fish that wouldn’t overstock the tank? Thank you!
- Also I’m planning on getting some floating plants tomorrow to help dim the very bright lights

Get the Rams. The Cards or Neons will swim in the same space of your Silver tips. You will still have none on top or bottom.

Nice tank!
Agree, you can add more fish, but... I would let the "New" inhabitants settle in. That is quite alot of fish (18) to add to a newly cycled/let alone mature tank at one time. Keep an eye out for ammonia/nitrite spikes. Also, need to consider the tank temp for any new acquisitions.

Just my .02.

Good Luck!

Yes I would wait on rams, you might have nitrate spike from adding all fish at once, and that is hard on rams. I usually stock by the "inch per gallon" rule, and I go by what the adult size of fish will be to figure out if any other fish can even be added.

I'd say that you go with the pair of Bolivian Rams, as they'd be a nice addition to a tank with bottoms like corys and mid-top swimmers like tetras. But, just like everyone previously said, give the fish that you already purchased some time to adjust to the tank and watch the parameters too. Then once things settle down, you can go ahead and get the rams
