Hey guys...im looking to swap out my filter. I currently have the Whisper 2-10 internal filter which the current is to high for him. Ive tried putting pillow stuffing(cant find filter floss) and that is just not working out. Its causing the back of the filter to back up and cause water floods out the back of the tank onto the wire. So im torn between getting the whisper 3i(which is for up to 3 gallons), the red sea nano, or the toms aquarium internal filter. recommendations? likes/dislikes?

    Hi Lee,
Look into getting a Sponge Filter if you have an air pump.
They aren't expensive and wonderful filters, especially for small tanks!!

I have this Aqueon 10 filter on my 5G betta tank.

The flow from the return doesn't bother him at all and it's quiet too, but (disclaimer time) that's my experience with my tank and betta. :)

If you change filters, transfer as much of the bio parts as possible to your new filter, or put it in the tank temporarily, to help keep your cycle.
Little tanks, especially a 5G are not very stable, especially when newly set up.

poor little guy, did the strength of the filter move him about the tank?
