New female koi betta!

LouPey

I'm so happy! She is adorable. I've never had a female fighter before, just males.

She is quite shy (I bought her a few hours ago) still but I chose her over another beautiful one as the other one at the fish shop was a total meanie so I thought this one would fit in with my others better.

Can I ask, what type would you say she is? Can you tell from this photo?

I am guessing a plakat having looked at the guides on this forum but not sure!

I don't! Do you have any ideas? I am thinking maybe a kind/ peaceful name and hopefully she will live up to it I read that plakats were the ones bred for fighting so can be meaaaan!

Thank you! And do you know what, I am not usually one for multiple colours. Even my tank I have kept it to only a couple of colours in terms of plants and props, but for once I've actually fallen for a multicoloured fish!

Maybe you could name her after a food? Perhaps Cherry or Waffle.

Waffle is such a cute name! You could also name her after a favorite book or movie character, or maybe a mythical creature?

I actually really like the name Waffles too. I think I might just call her Waffles! She really likes to explore all the hiding places in the tank bless her. She is a sweet little things. She's the betta equivalent of my honey gourami.
