New DPs

My LFS finally got some DPs in and I was lucky enough to get the last 2! I've been wanting some for a while now. Right now I have them in a temp 1 gallon tank, but they will be rehomed to a 20 gall long tank. I will be keeping a journal on it to as it will be fully planted. These guys are a hoot and always on the hunt.

I miss my little puffer. They like a heavily planted tank. They love to sleep on plants at night so throw some big leafed plants in there. Mine loved anubias, swords, water wisteria, and moss. They are very fun to watch! Dangle a bloodworm and they go crazy hunting it. They slurp them like spegghiti.

I can't wait to get them in their permanent tank. They are so inquisitive to. Thanks psalm for the little heads up about how they like lots of plants. Would you suggest getting pea sized gravel or sand? I'm thinking pea gravel so the water flows through it easier

Either will work. I had my puffer in both. He did like laying on sand better.
