Hey all. I'm preparing to set up my new 40 gallon tank and I have a question about prepping my new decor. I have some resin (possibly plastic) root looking pieces, some silk plants, and some rocks. What should I do to each to make them tank safe? Thanks!

Simply rinse them under tap water to get dust off

I would just rinse them off with warm water and leave them in the tank while you cycle it. If you're doing a fishless cycle they will me plenty safe by the time you add fish.

So no need to soak them for 24 hours in dechlorinated water?

I would only do that if placing them directly into an established tank.
