HI all. So yesterday I picked up three young habrosus cories from a local shop and all little guys appeared well. Just as I was going to bed here I went to check in on them, and to my horror (seriously almost started crying) one of my ghost shrimp was eating a dead little guy. My question is, do you think the ghost shrimp could have killed the cory? I am terrified that I did something to cause their death, I just lost my very loved betta not a little over a week ago. If the ghost shrimp could possibly be the cause I want to get them separated stat
Here are my tank stats:
Ten gallon planted tank
Community tank shared with three sterbaI cories and ghost shrimp
Temp: 76 F
Ammonia: 0
Nitrate: 35 PPM
Nitrite: 0
I did a 50% water change two days before adding the new fish
The tank has been treated with Lifegaurd all in one treatment about a week ago after the loss of my beta, as I fear his death could have been fungal related.
Thanks in advance!
Correction!
Nitrate is 25ppm (I know this is a bit high)
