New boesman's rainbow questions

  1. TKDennison Member Member

I brought home a single rainbow yesterday and her behavior is puzzling..

She's been alone at LFS for a month or so now with no adverse signs he says, I intend to get 2 more males and 3 females eventually.

She's in QT with a panda cory and a julii cory

But! She shudders like she's cold every so often, doesn't move much, occasionally yawns

Could this still be stress from moving?

Ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 5-10, temp 78. (As of yesterday)

I've never seem any of my Rainbows behave in that manner, so I really don't have any advice. But since she seems to be doing better now, it may just have been stress from the move. She may have gotten comfortable at the fish store, but once moved she became nervous and since she had no other fish to school with...

I turn the lights on only to feed her at this point, she hides in a cave as soon as I turn them on. She only had one other fish in her tank there, another type of smaller rainbow, I want to get the poor girl some friends ASAP. But I only have one QT
