New Betta with Curled fins is he ok?

Bought a new preset up tank. Eventually I'll be moving him to a larger tank, however his fins are curled. He seems interactive and ok. He ate some broccoli when i got home. Should I monitor him or take some action? Is this ok? My crown tail never had this issue.

Wow, he is very beautiful - just stunning!!! Fin curling is common in long finned bettas. It is most likely genetic.

I've never heard of feeding bettas broccoli, so that is interesting.

My crown tail loves broccoli! I'll give him broccoli tops like once a week
And thank you :) I fell in love with him when I saw him :)

I wouldn't feed him broccoli even if he seems to like it. Bettas are insectivores and their digestive tracts are not suited to handle plant matter. They do much better on a high protein diet.

My sister had a betta (Somchai) who was very unique and beautiful. He was this gorgeous, even orange color, with perfect black pineconing. I’ve never seen another just like him. He had curled fins, though from a different cause- we believe hard water. Anyway, he always had it, and it never disturbed him. He lived a nice long life with no issues, so I wouldn’t worry about it. :)
