New betta,will I regret?

So a month ago when I bought my betta Orion I saw this poor looking midnight male. I figured someone else would scoop him up and got the one I wanted at the time. When I went to petco today to grab another anubias I saw him. It’s been exactly a month today, he has been in a cup that long.. so I bought him. My dad was quite angry with me and told me I would regret having so many tanks in the future. People with multiple tanks.. do you regret owning them? And does caring for them get boring?

[pic of him below, poor baby]

Really depends. A few years ago, i had 8-10 betta tanks at once. The idea of doing that many water changes was kind of overwhelming, even though they were all 5-10 gals only. Not to mention, that many seperate tanks, can be hard to focus on one tank enough to notice early on if you have a sick fish. I find the idea of 5 tanks, even though a lot bigger, much more manageable to deal with, even though they have a lot more fish, too.

Really only you can know that. Your dad is just looking out for you, trying to make you think twice before you do over-burden yourself.

ive regreted a betta but thats because i feel i picked a sick one, for ive never regreted actually having one, sice you have 4 you might be able to sneek it in, as long as you kill your dad with kindness, just incase, but still try to keep him in your room or somewhere hes unlikely to go

My dad already knows.. poor guy had to pay for it because I didn’t bring my money. But I will hopefully pay him back in the future, I’m very thankful that he understands my fish obsession. But I was thinking since the fish seems so mellow I will try and put it with my adf’s but if that doesn’t work he will go in a 3 gallon, wish I could do bigger :(
