New Betta! What Color Type?

Hello all,

After a hiatus from keeping fish for about 5 years, I’ve decided to get back into it again with a betta!

Just finished cycling my 3.5 gallon tank this last weekend, so I picked up this guy from my LFS yesterday. So far he seems pretty pleased with his new home, although I need to pick up some taller plants for more cover.

I’m pretty sure he’s a super delta, but what I’m wondering is what color category he falls into? He’s very iridescent, sometimes teal, sometimes deep blue, with a few pops of red on his tail and dorsal fin. I can’t quite pinpoint him!

He doesn’t really fit any specific color type. All I can say is he’s a delta tail iridescent multI colored betta.

Added some java fern and duckweed tonight to give him some more cover. It’s been just over 24 hours in his new home and he’s now taking on some more black on his fins as his color darkens. Can’t wait to see how he ends up!
