New Betta Tail Type And Color??

We rescued a betta from Petco yesterday. We were wondering the tail type and color of him? He was labeled as a Elephant ear male. We have some ideas but were not sure. Hoping he may get more color now that he seems content in his new home, but he's gorgeous even if he doesn't.


Though I have had bettas in the past I never knew about the different tail types and colors! They are truly amazing!!

 

Looks like a dumbo halfmoon to me, I'd probably say the colour was something like lavender. Hope this helps, he's beautiful!

 

I'm gonna go with the elephant ear, those ones have the big pectoral fins like yours. He's beautiful!

The dumbo halfmoon looks exactly the same as the elephant ear online... hmm... maybe there are a couple names out there for the same variant?

 

Thank both of you for replying. We thought a dumb half moon as well. Didn't have an idea in color, but lavender seems to fit quite well!
