New Betta Fin Question

    A6F242AB-00E7-479B-80D4-E7EEDB6602FF.jpeg I recently “rescued” this betta from Walmart. Question for all you experienced betta owners.... do his fins look okay? They are a little pinched at the end, is this normal or could it be a sign of fin rot?

    By looking at the fins, you can tell that he did have fin rot at one point of his life. When a betta recovers from fin rot, the fins don't heal all the way, Think of it as a scar. However, also watch him for fin rot also since i do see that some spots on the fins are very transparent which is also a sign of incoming fin rot. Just keep him in clean water and you should beable to avoid more fin rot.

    You can see finrot from the black edges of his fins. Keeping him in a cycled tank with daily water changes should be enough for the fins to heal nicely.
