New Betta And Funny Story!!

After the recent death of my adoptee Zetta, I had to go to Petco to get a new water conditioner because I was running out. I was still heart broken and didn't plan on getting a new Betta until after our summer trip. There was so many beauties but they just didn't appeal to me that much.
I'm telling you guys, my level of self control was AMAZING. Well WAS. Until my mom showed me him. I just fell in love with him and I begged her to let me take him home but she said no and I didn't push it, until she accidentally slapped his cup out of my hand and it cracked on the floor, water was leaking everywhere and the poor Betta is freaking out

Naturally we both freaked out and called over one of the USELESS Petco guys, who casually put him in the guppy tank with an angelfish next door that was glaring bullets at him. This one guppy was looking at his tail like he was dinner and followed the poor traumatized thing around the tank and into a corner. And if you know anything about guppies and bettas, you know that guppies can be MEAN. My mom knowing this, and also knowing that Petco guy would not take him out said I could take him home with me.

So ironically, thanks to us, we both endangered and saved his life. So with all that aside, met Romeo!!;

Oh that's funny! Sounds like something I'd do... Just give him time, he'll let you take more photos, but I imagine he's feeling conflicted right now. On one fin he wants to shun you for scaring him on the other he wants say hI becaouse he's so happy to be in a good home! Hehe just kidding. He's a real beaut, what are you naming him?

I know right? Even the cashier was cooing over him. I payed $15 for him as he was marked as a butterfly so he was kind of an expensive find for my poor wallet. He may have costed my whole allowance and I may have severely disappointed my dad with my lack of self control, but he was definitely worth it.

Romeo is definitely different then my other. betta Delta. He's the first Betta to not have If-it-goes-past-the-surface-I'm-not-eating-it disorder. Which is nice so I don't have to rush to catch it before it teleports to another dimension(Aka.The cracks of the gravel).

Wow! Pretty! I think we have all had an incounyer with a pricey betta... me and my friend LOVE to look on an online store that sells beautiful betta (and more) and I just fell for this silver hm platkat (who was spost to be giant but that's ok) and he was on sale 14.99$! That's ok though... well then there is the 18$ shipping

 

Haha Crazy Betta Lady believe me, I've had some moments with almost ordering $40 bettas with an added $18 shipping. Being a broke teen, I understand your pain

On an unrelated note, I just realized Romeo costed more than the tank he's currently living in. (Dollar per gallon sale!!) Now that's saying something.

 

Normally not a fan of bettas, but that one is beautiful.
