New Baby Crowntail Female Betta!!

YEAH!!!! I bought another betta today! This time I went to petvalu and they seem to have better care then petsmart. I ran into the store and in about 30seconds I grabbed a female crowntail baby betta. The whole family was there! 3 look alike females and 2 males with the same color. But I can only get one. She isn't a baby but more like teenager. She is half the size of Rose my adult female betta. This is also my first crowntail! The only betta tail type ive yet to own. ( She is in a 1 gallon bowl BUT, she is super small and its super warm this summer plus water changes will be frequent! Also QUARANTINE! She will be going beside Miss Rose in a Cycled,Filtered, Heated divided 10 gallon tank) Any FLOWER NAME ideas?!

Aww how cute! You should call her Aquamarine or Azure.

 

She's beautiful! Names could be Bellflower since she's blue like those flowers, or Hibiscus since those are sometimes a gorgeous blue too. Her tail and fins are so awesome and pretty!!!

So far, the most I saw one for was $25 at petsmart, an imperial butterfly or something like that. Was a pretty fish! Most I paid was 19.99 for a white opal make

 

At my LFS all bettas are priced the same 2.50 for females and 3.5 for males

 

I can get my crowntail females for $2.99, the HMPK’s are another story.
I got my premium dragonscale halmoon rosetail for $20.00, my halfmoon for $15.00, HMPK male for $18.00, and a crowntail for $4.00.

 

Well if you have a Misses Rosie and roses are red and violets are blue......

 

Heres my local fish stores prices to make you guys more shook. And there's no way there from breeders.

Here's just a few names of flowers that are also blue in color : Bluestar, Salvia, Veronica, Sweet pea, ( my favorite ) and Georgia Blue ( nice if your also from Georgia ) I see that your not.

I think that koi is the only one who should be priced at $40 if that.

Agree but for some reason our petsmarts sell them as "veiltail" female bettas. So I get them for 8 bucks even sometimes sold as males :/.

Well since your tank is cycled and the other betta looks fine she might have injured it in some way. In which case clean water should help

Well shes in a bowl... (she is super small and wasn't active when I bought her) She didnt have it in the store. I will have to make a new thread on it and get photos. What other betta...? I only posted one betta here, (minus the 50 in the store picture xD) I will keep up with cleaning though then.

She looks just like mine!! She is a bit more black but with that same iridescent blue/green color. I named mine Hela. So pretty!!!

 

I can't believe it she passed away... I don't know where to buy anymore. I love bettas but can't keep spending money and haveing this happen. Swim In Peace cutie, I'm sorry this happened .
