New adventure, Ursula the Oscar!

I wanted to start a thread for my new little girl. I’m very excited! I only have small community tanks, she’s my first big fish. She’s doing great so far, eating like a little monster!

 

That circular marking near the base of the tail is neat!

 

Very beautiful fish! Keep posting about her if you wish, I for one would be interested in your journey!

 

Sweet looking oscar! It's always soooooo exciting to get a new fish species!!!

 

I thought I’d try this out- I have so many plant trimmings from my other tanks and I wanted to just see what Ursula would think of them! Right now she’s pouting in her cave because I changed things.

 

Ursula update- she loves the plants! She hides in them and weaves in and out of them. One stem came uprooted but I replanted and it's staying put. I also got her a bubble wall and she loves that too. She rides up the bubbles! She's eating really well, she absolutely goes nuts for mealworms.
I'm glad I built her the cave in the middle. First of all, I love how it looks. Second, she uses it all the time! She's pretty much hanging out in there whenever someone's not in the room. She sleeps in there too, and zooms into it if something spooks her.

 

Congrats. Part dog part fish. Always wanted one. Looks like a perfect setup!!!!

I took some better photos of her last night. I'm amazed at the quality my iPhone can produce!
