New adoptees, funny names!

Yesterday I took on a betta and a mystery snail that their owner couldn't care for properly due to having to travel for medical treatments. They came with their home (a 2 gallon bowl) and they'd been well looked after to the best of the owners' knowledge so this wasn't a rescue situation by any means. We arranged for me to pick them up when her young son wouldn't be there. She picked me against other callers because I sounded like an animal lover and didn't ask about the free tank first, in fact I brought my own carrier and offered to let her keep it. I am keeping the names her little boy gave them though because they're awesome!

The betta's name is "Shoelace" and the snail's name is "Shoechaser";D

LOL I'll try! He suddenly has plants and space and heat and he's spending a lot of time hiding in the greenery peeking out at me

Cef, about those pictures. Totally forgot but early this morning my cat jumped on top of that tank and drowned the fixture. No real danger of electrocution because the LED's are sealed, but still, to be safe I removed it and have it next to the dehumidifier to dry. So...no lights yet

I need to start a thread about my cat's antics last night and this morning, she's been a real wild child
