Picked these two up at the aquarium club meeting on Sunday, and I'm so excited to have them! I've got a male and female, and I'm hoping they get... *ahem*... happy!

Anyway, here are some bad pics. These two are tiny, and it's hard to get decent pics of them!

Oh wow, are they as tiny as they seem in the pictures? Very cute!

OMG OMG OMG!!!!

I've been scouring around for them but the only seller I know of is in the US and won't ship across the border!
I LOVE those guys!
... try for some betta simplex yet and I'll have to fly down for a visit

Thanks so much friends! I'm so excited about these little bettas! For anyone who would like to read a short article about them, this is the best info I've found:

The speaker at our club meeting did a presentation on anabantoids, and I was absolutely enthralled! It was really neat and he was a great presenter. I learned SO much.

And Red1313, we had the opportunity to pick up Betta simplex as well... but the bidding price got a little too high for us, given our inexperience with wild Betta species, so we just couldn't do it. Sending PM, BTW.

They're pretty cool. They look like they have a longer leaner body than Betta splendens.

I just saw a tank of these guys (juvies, I think... they all looked like the one on the right and were pretty small) at the pet store today. I was really tempted to get them, but knew absolutely nothing about them.
Good luck with the breeding.

Thanks everyone!

Amazing! Who is the breeder?
I believe they were bred by Mark from Anubias Design. I don't *think* they are wild caught, but I might be wrong.
