New 60 Gal Tank Recommendations

Hello All,

I am fairly new to this hobby and currently have a 30 gal hex tank. I am looking to upgrade to a 60 gal. I don't really like the shape of my 30 gal and am limited to what kind of fish I can have. I am looking for recommendations on how to stock my new 60 gal once I get it. My wife likes colorful and playful fish, she really likes angel fish. I am leaning towards either a community tank with some angelfish or a cichlid tank. If I decided to do a community tank what other fish could I have with angel fish? I'm also looking for recommendations on decorations and vegetation. Any recommendations are helpful!

Angelfish can go with a lot of other fish! What about:

x2 Angelfish
x15 Rummynose Tetras
x15 KuhlI Loaches
x1 Albino BN pleco

German Blue Rams are very colorful and active, as well as my betta sorority. Just some other ideas!

I have some amazon swords in my 30 gal currently. Also like schooling fish so I like the idea of a big school of tetras and loaches swimming around. Could I have more than 2 angelfish if I wanted?

You could... buuut you would probably see some aggression between pairs. Maybe 4?

 

I'm currently in the same situation as you, I've got a 55 that I need help with stocking and I also want angelfish. I was thinking more like one singular angel so no aggression and then having a gourami and maybe a ram. Plus a schooling fish and a bunch ofcories

 

If you want 2 angels, you're better off getting 4-6... letting a pair develop, and rehome the other two. That's the best way of having a pair, without the high likelyhood of aggression from occuring.
