New 40 Gal Plant Ideas?

I recently acquired at 40gal tank and thought I'd put it to use. And good plant ideas?? Thanks

 

That would depend on what sort of tank set up you're planning on. High or low tech? The lighting setup and whether the tank will have co2 or not?

 

Amazon swords, just remember to use root tabs is you don't have a plant substrate

Well, You’ve gotten some good plant suggestions. Vals, java fern, anubias, swords and crypts. I agree with them all. What kind of substrate do you have? Do you plan on dosing ferts? If you do, you can do some stem plants like bacopa monnerI and carolinana, some ludwigia, anacharis, most hygrophilia. Id do taller plants for a 40gal is it a 40 breeder? Try plants like jungle val, hygrophilia difformis, crytpt wendtiI bronze or green, bacopa monnerI and an amazon sword.

 

Hornwort

 

Yeah just be careful with hornwort...once it's in your tank it's hard to get out... I've been trying lol
