New 36 Bow Front Build.

I finally moved and had great plans to transport my fish. After moving the platys I didn't think the rest of my stock would live. So I gave my fish to a good friend and I have 5 platy in the 36 now. Trying to figure what other fish I can add that would be temp and temperament compatible. Temp is 74-76. PH around 7.2. Was thinking of rainbow, dwarf gourami, danios, and cories.

Anyone have any ideas or thoughts. When I am finished with this tank I start on the 75 gallon cichlid Mbuna tank.

 

As always go with cories.
Could try shrimp too, I'm pretty partial to the fish I own.
I like mollies, platies and catfish, but I've been looking at danios more.

 

I now have 5 red platy. 3 albino Cory. Thinking of a dwarf or sunset gourami. Zebra or pearl danios or cardinal tetra. And maybe a type of rainbowfish

I would increase your cory school to at least 6, and a harem (if you could find one) of dwarf gouramis would look great! Neons , I think, are better for cooler tanks and cardinals are more towards 78-80. Don't quote me on it though. I think that would look nice. Or you could do cherry barbs or white cloud mountain minnows, and the gold variety looks gorgeous.

 

I plan to up my cory total to 6 but didn't want to add many fish at once. Went from 2 to 7 so for at least a week I will take a break from buying. I have 1 male platy that stays near the filter by himself. Was hoping he would be more social once I got more platy.

Will look into some of the species you mentioned. Would love a male female dwarf gourami pair but it is so hard to get. I think the pearl danios will be my next buy. The dwarf gourami will be last.

You'll definitely have to buy the female online.

 

I am not into buying fish online. I have my preconceived feelings about that. Just don't think it is good for the fish and believe the chance of the fish being healthy is 50-50. Just me.

Can my tank support 6 cory, 4 platy (I don't think one of them will make it)., 6
Praecox Rainbow, 1 dwarf gourami and 6 with pearl or Zebra Danios.

Also temp and temperament will they be able to coexist together.

 

So this is what I have so far. 5 Red Platys. Don't think he will make it as he hangs out behind the filter. 5 Albino Cory. 1 Dwarf Gourami.

Temp is 75-76.
PH 7.2

I am thinking 6 Rainbow Fish. Praecox.
Also 6 Candy Cane Tetra.

Any ideas. Not a definite on the 2 schools above.
