    Hello Everyone.

So today i went out to petco and bought myself a 20 long aquarium with a stand.
I had been planning on getting another aquarium for months, so i''m happy i have it now!
At the store i eyed some gold white cloud mountain minnows, are they dyed? I only ask because white cloud mountain minnows are going to be in the stock.

I already have everything i need to start the tank, a filter, sand, decor... etc. I only need a light/a hood. But those are irrelevant now because i am going to do a fishless cycle, and that takes weeks.

Here is the stock for anyone wanting to know:

    6-8 White cloud mountain minnows

    6 Reticulated Hillstream Loaches.

I know i need a power head, that is on my list, but i don't need one right now considering the fact that i am cycling.

    Thanks!

You could get away without a powerhead if you could mount your HOB on the side of the tank. The outflow of the filter would be similar to that of a powerhead. :)

Not really sure why you would need a powerhead?

The Hillstream Loaches are from fast river regions and need the current.

i think that i will just get a power head, since my filter is only 200 GPH, and i think that i might get a powerful powerhead to ensure the health of the loaches.

The gold WCMM are not dyed, they are a color morph.

Yeah, gold WCMMs aren't dyed. They're so awesome!
Along with those, in the same genus there's Tanichthys micagemmae which is sometimes known as the blue white cloud.
Besides T. albonubes and T. micagemmae, there's also T. thacbaensis.

I had a school of T. micagemmae (aka Sparkle Eye Minnows). I loved them.

well the filter died for good today.... that sucks. I was able to strike a deal with my mom, to return all of the new fish stuff i got in exchange for a marginated tortoise. I think i might take that offer!

I have always loved tortoises, so this works out for me! I think their long lifespan is a good thing with me, so i can have a "reptilian friend" to the grave!

This is weird, i was just thinking about all of the fish i wanted to keep, and the only other fish i would EVER want is an oscar. Yay! i dodged MTS!
