New 20 Gallon Long Tank!!!!

I finally got upgraded guys!

My stocking is still
1 Male Betta Splendens
4 Harlequin Rasboras
3 Panda Corys
4 Ghost Shrimp
1 Blue Mystery Snail
1 Black Racer Nerite Snail

Can't wait to increase my school sizes and add more plants and whatnots. Really want to eventually use live plants. Before that though I need to take the light back and get a better one for that. Which is a shame because I got a National Geographic Deluxe Programmable LED for $50 because it was in the wrong spot. Apparently they don't grow plants well though. Probably will be creating a thread for advice on that.

Used National Geographic sand for substrate. Still don't know if I should have went with pool filter sand or not. Guess I can change it later if need be. Can't wait for the corys to start playing in the sand.

May or may not move the betta back to his own 10 gallon. Going to monitor him for now. If I do though that gives me an excuse for another tank. Really want to separate the rasboras and pandas.

That light seems bright enough for a lot of the tall grasses.
The substrate looks nice.
You know what's cooler than 3 panda cory's? 6-8 panda cory's.

You know what's cooler than three panda cories? No cories at all! Mid level schooling all the way!

Exactly! That's why I can't wait to grow the school. As well as the rasboras.

Looking for something more substantial and Cory safe. Like java fern, swords, nanas, etc and beyond.

Not an option. For this tank anyway. They're one of my favorites and I already have 3. Couldn't do many mid level schools in a tank this size anyway. Maybe two. I enjoy bottom dwellers in general. Also would like khulI loaches in a tank someday.

Can easily do 2 schools in a 20 long, I have 7 glowlight and 7 Columbian tetras in mine. No bottomdwellers. Only bottondweller I can be convinced to get is a rubbernose pleco.

I would like to add a bristlenose with the corys. Some have told me I can still do do small-medium schools with them.

You'd be better off with a clown pleco, IMO.
Why is that? Also, they hide a lot more don't they?

Clown's are a little smaller and more appropriate for your tank size than BN plecos.

They hide most of the time and need different driftwoods though. Don't think that's what I'm looking for.

What's so special about rubbernoses specifically?

I just had one that was a bit quirky, loved the little guy.
