Looks INCREDIBLE!!!!

Thanks! I also added 2 60 gallon sponge filters inside the tank in place of those air-stones, managed to hide them pretty well.

Picked up a used 125 acrylic tank on the cheap ($80) so I figured I'd get back into fish keeping.

The initial stand that you guys suggested bracing more.
Bracing completed~ Also pretty impressed with how I got that bottom plywood cut out of a single sheet and have it fit fairly well down there with cutouts.

Initial stand and leak test, gonna let it sit full of water for awhile. Stand feels pretty rock solid. As for the aquairum it seemed like the acrylic had a bit of bowing? Is this common with large tanks 6ft acrylic tanks? Top of my stand is 3/4" plywood and ontop of that is a mat of rubber I trimmed to fit, kinda feels like those smooth gym floors. Of course once filled the bow was gone.

Also looking for suggestions on stocking, as of right now about the only thing I'm set on is that it's going to be freshwater, likely a low tech plant setup.

Really nice build...my stand looks almost like yours but I basically doubled the braces and both top and bottom...made for a heavy base but it holds my tank well...nice build

Had planned on putting this in my office, but once I had it in there it was just way too massive and didn't even have the tank on it. I guess it's gonna be a living room tank, looks pretty good though!

That looks great!

Nice to see someone else with a large enough tank to have multiple Angelfish.

Thanks! We'll have to see how long they get along, 12 might be a bit much for this tank, getting them as babies may help them get used to each other though.

Been awhile, but here's a tank update. Everything is doing well, Angels are getting huge and starting to become quiet territorial as they may be starting to pair up, see lots of chasing of caught a few of them lip locking.

Has some new inhabitants, picked up 8 black mollies to contrast with the platinum and hopefully help with my battle with BBA which is grown on quite a bit of things in the tank. Hopefully can get it sorted out with ferts and lighting changes.

Water sprite is growing like a weed, I cut off huge chunks weekly as I prune it, other plants are doing well, especially the crypt.

I still even see a ghost shrimp on occasion, surprised that they've lasted this long with all the hungry angels.

Well I guess that's one way to determine who has paired up ^^

Finally stopped being lazy, and built the water proof light stand I had been kicking around in my head. Before the lights were just sitting on the top of the tank with scrap acrylic over the tank holes to protect them, now they're raised up about 8". Everything is made out of PVC, and a large square of aluminum with a cross brace I riveted in (These cheap lights bow pretty significantly without it.

As for the tank I had my first death, one of the mollies. Not sure what happened, the angels seem to ignore them for the most part, might have just been a sick Petsmart fish, all of the others seem to be doing well. Also added a cheap $15 nano surface skimmer from Amazon that is actually performing quite well.
