new 10g nano reef

hey guys here is my build so for in this new nano reef tank.

10g tank
aquaclear 50 with chemI pure blue nano.
wavepoint blade 9in led light.
hydor 240gph wave maker.
12lb live sand and rock.
50w heater.

I have been buying ro/dI saltwater from my LFS , but as of today my new ro system came.
I have 1 frogspawn coral and just added a purple fire fish. I'm haveing a hard time feeding the fish any advice? I've tried omega and new life but he's not taken to any.

 

Hi, you may need to purchase some frozen shrimp. Most will accept that and then gradually try to transition to the pellet.

 

I have not had good luck getting my fish to eat pellets. Mine get fed a mix of mysis shrimp/spirulina brine shrimp/blood worms all soaked in Selcon.

I too would recommend feeding one of those frozen foods to get your firefish eating.

 

Hey, I've gotten him to eat spirulina shrimp just fine matter of fact he devours it but, still no luck with the pellets. The strip is just a lot of waste in the tank.

going to my LFS to get a feather duster soon also a few more snails.

 

added a feather duster. Also my jbj 45 is in and now I'm building the equipment hope to get it up and running by December.

 

update: lost one clown fish due unknown reason a month ago. Water tested out good, but still lost a fish . Not going to replace him just going with two fish for now. JBJ 45 build is almost done should be ready by February.
