Neverendingninja's Tank

I replanted...Below is current photo. See later post for comparison.

The plants on the rock to the far left are fake, except for a clump of java moss on the very top. Left to right, plants are melon sword, amazon sword, java fern, anubias afzelii, anubias barteri, dwarf lily(can't find scientific name other than nuphar stellata), a jumble of various stem plants, wisteria, and far right is alternanthera.

And last, but not least...drum roll please! The super duper pooper! I've got five of these guys in there, but I honestly couldn't tell one from the other..not unless I spent way too much time.

Very beautiful and serene looking!

I see you like Keyhole cichlids too. Aren't they just great?

A few pictures of the fish. I'll have to get them up later, as I'm wrangling my 18 month old by myself.

Thanks. They're not the most colorful species in the hobby, but I love their personalities. It seems to be a very happy environment, and is quite soothing to watch.

i'd love to get some rams.. there were a couple at the fish auction - but both males. I agree with you and love how different fish are. A lot of great fish species that may not use up the box of crayons but have amazing fins or patterns, etc.

awesome fish! I would keep dwarf cichlids...but with school and baseball, I don't have enuf time to monitor water levels as much as I would like to

You have a beautiful tank with beautiful fish. I'm immensely jealous! I can't wait to get my 46 gallon bowfront and not have to be limited with this 10 gallon anymore!

Before and After; the first photo is my previous arrangement, and the second photo is how it is currently planted.

I suppose I'm going to invest in some black backing for the tank, just to cut down on the clutter. But, I don't think it makes much a difference to the fish, and its $12 I could spend elsewhere that would benefit them more...on say...eco-complete

yea, we keep thinking of other things to buy and our tanks don't get backing.. but as you know.. the fish haven't complained.
