Nervous - may have made a mistake

I have a 10 gallon tank with an adult male betta about 3 inches, a few pepper cories. With one of the cories arrived a passenger which multiplied into a whole herd of MTS. I added an assassin snail and a CPO to get rid of the MTS. I put in a betta bed to keep the betta off the ground. Worried that the CPO may be a problem - I have read both that they are very peaceful and that they are terrible killers. Opinions?

You've lost me. I have no idea what a CPO is. Can you please write it out? Thanks.

Cambarellus patzcuarensis 'Orange' it's an orange Mexican crayfish, and to the op you should be fine they are very territorial with their own kind, but a lot of people have kept cpo's with bettas

Your right, for a second I thought you were doing to say an mix can dwarf orange crayfish(which aren't aggressive). Regular ones are very aggressive and will eat your other fish if not well fed. A Mexican dwarf orange crayfish can and will live with Betta's.

The cory's need a bigger tank however, I don't think the CPO will eat the snails . Those MTS have very hard shells for their size. The assassin snail might help along with removing any that you see. Welcome to the forum and glad you joined us. The CPOs are really cute little buggars. Alison
