hi everyone......i have a nerite snail that is in a tank with sand substrate. does he like this? is it ok for him? i also have 3 MTS as well.....to help stir the sand. the nerite doesn't seem as excited about the sand as the mts. this nerite started out in a gravel tank with 3 other nerites.....but i moved him. in the gravel tank he seemed to move across the floor more than he does on sand. :-\

Snails don't always enjoy crossing sand. It sticks to them, they don't like that.

There is one snail that likes sand, though. He's called the Tylomelania snail. Tylos should be treated as really big MTS, because they like to burrow, and have conical shells. In the wild, they live in mud flats.
