Nerite Snails Not Very Active

About a week ago I brought home 3 Nerite snails and 1 Golden Mystery snail. 1 of the nerites went into my betta tank and the remaining 2 nerites & mystery snail went into my community tank. I noticed that the nerites in both tanks have moved very little while the mystery has been zipping all over (OK he is a snail so maybe zipping is the wrong word but he moves around alot). Is that normal for the nerites to be so inactive? Could it just be taking them longer to get used to their new surroundings?

Ammonia is at 0 ppm, nitrites are at 0 ppm and nitrates are at 20 ppm for both tanks.
Temp is 77 in community tank and 80 in the betta tank.

None of the fish seem to be bothering any of the snails, that I have seen anyways. I am feeding the snails algae wafers, veggie wafers, spinach and zucchinI and dropping in pieces of plain Tums for calcium supplement. Not sure if the nerites in the community tank have been eating much but the one in the betta tank seems to be eating some algae off of the rock he is on. Just wanted some input to put my mind at ease or let me know if I need to be doing something differently. Thanks!

My nerites are extremely active and rapidly mow down the algae. That is not everyone's experience for sure. Almost has to be a preferred water issue.

My nerites are all over the place. I can watch them move no problem. My stats are almost the same as yours but my temp is a bit lower at 76.

Most of my nerites zip around, but I have a black racer nerite who took about 2 weeks t get comfortable in the tank and start zipping. I also have a couple odd looking ones who are more interested in exploring outside the tank than in. When they stay in the tank, they hang out above the water line, when they find the hole in the lid, they explore. One has made tracks all over the lid, and I have found them as far as 5 feet from the tank! Multiple times.

Angel, that is crazy! I have heard they can be escape artists, who would have thought? Ha ha.

I will keep an eye on them, I am hoping it's just a matter of them needing a little time to get comfortable. Thanks for the feedback everyone!
