Nerite Snail Shell Issue? Question

    Now this might just be me being paranoid, but is there supposed to be a white triangle at the base of a zebra nerite shell as in pic below? He seems to be in good shape otherwise, but today he climbed above the waterline for a bit and is now just hanging below it. My water parameters are amo 0, nit 0, nitrates 30 , Ph 8 (7 with CO2 injection, 8 hrs), dkh 3.

    I don't have too much algae but I thought he'd just been doing a good job of cleaning it up.[​IMG]

    I just checked my nerites, and they have it too :) I wouldn't worry.

    Yup. Mine have it too. Not quite as pronounced, but it's there.

    Thanks Dakotaz. This guy is pretty young and growing. Are your guys full grown? I'll watch and see how it changes with time.
