nerite snail inside hob filter

My wife and I were getting ready for bed, and were doing our normal inventory of our fish before we turn the light out. My wife (Lexi03) noticed our nerite snail was missing. She moved everything in the tank and couldn't find it. The only thing we could think of was it somehow climbed into the filter. We took the top off, and there it was on the inside wall of the filter. She picked it up and placed it on one of the rocks in our tank. It quickly started moving and eating its way down to the gravel. Our tank parameters are fine, and everyone in the tank is their usual active selves. I don't think it is a problem. I just think its weird.
Our nerites have gone missing several times now. They are always found in the filter. At least we know where to look now.
