Nerite Snail Floating

My Nerite snail that I recently got is...floating. Just sitting there, and I don't know what to do because I feel like it needs to be on something..right? He lives in a 2 gallon tank with a Betta, and I just got him. Not to mention I'm not very experienced with fish care so I don't know what's going on. Is he alright?

How long have you had him? And if you’ve had him for more than a day, had he been moving around?

I've had him for 2 days, and he moves around, but I never personally see him move.

Oh, he's better. Crisis averted.

He's on the wall now. He's fine.

My mystery snails do this quite often. Most likely got air in his lung (or whatever that is) and by the time they open up again the air is released and they sink back down.

Nice!!! Good to know they are alive. I heard nerite can be pretty eater tho.

In that small of a tank you probably won’t grow enough algae to keep it fed.

I strongly recommend you take a cucumber or zucchinI slice, stick a metal fork in it and sink it in your tank so he has something to eat.

This should last 2 days until the vegetables gets soft and floats to the top.

Do it 2Xs a week.

As long as you have algae, disregard.
