In a freshwater tank Nerite Snail eggs will not hatch, but they still lay the eggs. Would other creatures such as Shrimp, Catfish, and Livebearers eat the eggs? Mine all seem to love eating pond snail eggs.

Once they figure out what they are I am sure they will :) I don't have nerites but my ghost shrimp and tetras tend to eat any eggs they find in my tank.

I haven't seen platies or MTS do anything with the eggs, but eventually they do decay/disappear.

None of my inhabitants eat the eggs ( I wish they would because they are so darn tough to get off of the ornaments/glass )
My pleco goes near the eggs but I suspect they are just too tough to eat - my mts or cory's don't bother with it either!

I think some of my fish have realized what they are, and they peck at them but I think they have given up because they can't eat them. That sucks :(
