For the last day my olive nerite has been sitting, upright, in the sand. I've had nerites for awhile and I have never witnessed this. Is this normal? I figure there is enough to eat in and on the substrate at times. She has been fine for the past few weeks and has been laying eggs all over my driftwood. Nothing about my water or routine or stocking has changed. Yes, she is in with my puffer, but he eats Everything but snails...unless they are already crushed. Plus the snail is fully grown and is too big and her shell is too hard.

How long have you had this particular nerite?

What exactly do you mean by sitting upright?

by upright, I just meant not flipped over, sorry. And I've had her for at least a month.

It's fully grown already? Could it be old age?
