Nereas is getting a new home!

My mom's betta Nereas has been living at her office in a 1gal tank for the past few months and it looks like he is going to get a new 10gal soon! we should be moving back into our house in a week or so and he gets to move in with us! My other tanks have been in storage along with most of our furniture so he has been stuck in his dingy little 1gal since we got him. I don't have a light or filter for the tank, but our home is very warm and I can deal with a lot of water changes.

We have been out of our house since august, and we were told they would be done fixing our electic and plumbing problems by november, but every time the city inspector looks at their work he seems to find something wrong. but :knock on wood: it looks like that all of us will have our home back again before x-mas. I will have my sewing room back, the dog will have a big yard again and the betta will have a home.

I am so happy for you all. It is always good to be able to go home.

I am sure that Nereas will not know what to do in a 10 gallon for a bit. I love the looks on their faces when they first get into a big tank.

Congratulations, I do wish the best for you all.

My brother gave my mom a and a guppie. Well the guppy did nothing but sulk so she put him in the 40gal and told me to get a betta. Well I kinda coaxed her because I knew I could get her to upgrade to a ten gallon since I already had one. But then the constuction people kept delaying us getting back home so the poor fish has been stuck in that itty thing for a while.

Nereas is going to be so happy in his new home. Wow, an entire 10-gallon tank to explore! He is sure to love it!

He will be so wonderfully overwhelmed with a huge tank. The first day I moved Mr. Red in his tank I watched him to see what his reaction was going to be. He just sat there frozen in the middle of the tank looking around. Then he started exploring all of his new plants and his barrel. It was so much fun to watch him ;D I'm sure Nereas will do the same. I know people think it runs into a lot of money but when you have a chance to watch them getting used to their new homes, it is worth the cost of the show all the way. I have had so much fun watching mine and now a new one to look forward to.

I hope your Mom has a great time with Nereas. Be sure to tell her to drag an easy chair up and turn off the TV the day she puts him in the big tank, make popcorn and buy a soda and enjoy the show. It can be an all day affair.

;D

Um, just fyI you should probably put a lid on there since Bettas will sometimes jump...
Beautiful Betta by the way , and very pretty set up even if it is a bit on the small side.

That is a temporary home until he can get moved into a bigger one now that they have moved back home. He is going into a large tank like the other bettas she owns.

It is indeed a pretty tank and will make a good q tank as one does not want to put a sick fish into a really big tank so they do not have to medicate a large amount of water.
