Neon Tetras Not Schooling

Hi. I recently added 8 neon tetras to my tank. They all consistently schooled together. The next day, I brought 4 black tetras home and added them.
Now, the black tetras stay together with one neon. The rest of the neons are all off on their own. Should I be concerned? Is there anything I should be doing?

Thank you!

Black Neons are a different species to the regular Neon Tetras, so a group of 4 is a little small for them. Small schooling fish will group together with other species when feeling threatened. If you tank is big enough add a few more Black Neons. What size tank do you have?

I have a 55 gallon. The lady at the pet store told me they would school with the neons I already had.... I guess I should have done some research first.
I think I can get a few more.
Should I worry about the neons splitting up?

With most schooling fish they will split up in the tank when they feel comfortable in their environment and then group up from time to time over the day. Part of all that deals with how much cover and plants you have in the tank. I have a lot of plants and driftwood in my tanks.

I do have a lot of hiding places set up. That makes me feel better thinking that they've just become comfortable. I'll get some more buddies for the black tetras and hopefully all will be well. Thank you!

I have 10 neon's in my 100 gallon tank, there use to be more at one time. I have thought about maybe getting 10 of the Black Neons to throw in there, just for variation.
