Neon Tetras No Longer Schooling

My neon tetras don't school anymore. They're all separated... Two would be here and 1 would be there. I have a totoal of 9.

That's actually not a bad thing, fish don't usually tightly school unless they feel threatened. I wouldn't worry to much about it. a

Mine are in their own tank now and only have inverts with them. They completely stopped shoaling and schooling because there is no longer any threats in the tank. They only pal up together when I stick my hand in the tank lol it's a good thing and usually means they feel secure and comfortable in their surroundings.

As Platylover said. Schooling fish like having a school but usually won't be totally in it tightly unless feeling threatened. It's a survival mechanism to make it hard to pick one one and also make themselves look bigger. Same reason things like zebras, deer and the like usually herd together.
