Neon Tetras Mouth Fungus Uk

I noticed today one of my neons has a white cotton wool like growth on its mouth and I assume it's mouth fungus. I have read the best treatment is kanamycin based treatments. However when I checked with my local shop I was told it can't be sold in the UK without a vets prescription. I have ordered API pimafix from Amazon on next day delivery which I have heard is good. Can anyone recommend any other treatments that can be bought in the UK. There isn't a vet within the area that can do fish and it's a lot of money to spend on a tetra to go to one.

They have Tetra Lifeguard there:
It looks like the dosing is 1 tablet per gallon (i'm assuming British gallon) and it only comes in 32 tablet packages. It's probably a peroxide formulation. If that's the case, it would probably be cheaper to just take the fish out of the tank once a day and dab some 3% Peroxide directly on the fungus with a Q-tip for a week or so. That might be just as effective since peroxide converts to oxygen and water as soon as it's mixed with water anyway...

Thanks for answering. I will have to juggle the fish in my hospital, quarantine and fry tanks to find an empty one which I can treat this fish in. I have some interpet fungus and fin rot which I have used in the past but I won't put it in my main tank as last time it killed the filter bacteria. I will use this with the pimafix in the hospital tank. The advert on Amazon for the pimafix says it does not harm fish or filter so I will use it only in the tank the fish is in to protect the rest of the inhabitants from catching it. Hopefully this will work. I have both aquarium salt and Epson salt. Are these of any benefit with fungus?.

Salt and Epsom salt probably would not be of benefit for mouth fungus. I never advise anyone to add either salt form to a tank but rather to use it in the form of time-limited baths. Adding either salt to an aquarium and leaving it can cause problems with freshwater fish.

I have managed to photo the fish. Does this look like mouth fungus to you?

I'm sorry the photo isn't very good. I know the water looks green in the photo but its actualy clear, just something to do with the light.

Looks like some kind of fungus. Pictures a little blurry. Is it actually fuzzy looking? And is it raised like a bump?

Yes it is fuzzy and it's like a little ball attached to the fishes lip
