Hi, so I am planning to start a comminity tank with 10 neons and 1 betta. however I have a problem. The web says neon tetra share the same temp requirements as betta, but on here it is said that neon tetra require mid 70s, while bettas require high 70's low 80's. Ordinarily I wouldn't have risked it and just chosen another fish, but I already have neons in their QT tank, and I bought the nessecary equipment for a new 10 gallon tank, plus the tank itself. so It would be a huge waste of money to simply return the tetra. So my question is, are neons compatible with betta's temp wise, or have I made a mistake an wasted a good chunk of money?
P.s: I am aware that everyone has there own personal preferences on how they care for their fish. However if you can link me to reliable sources as to why you have those preferences or if you have personal experience with these fish (like you've cared for neon tetra for 20 years, or are a professional breeder) I'd appreciate it, because having those facts or opinions from people with experience with neons would really help me determine what I should do.
