HI guys,
Just a couple minutes ago I realized one of my neon tetras is acting weird. I went to feed the fish and I noticed this one tetra is swimming while tilted to one side. It's gills are pink and slightly inflamed from the usual, but just slightly. And there is a small, white speck on one of his eyes.
I was thinking it might be ICH because of the white spot and I have an adjustable heater and/or medication for ICH if indeed that is what it is. Then I was also wondering if it could be the Neon Tetra Disease that doesn't have a cure.
I have a 29 gallon tank stocking is: 2 honey gouramis, 3 false-julI corydoras (will be 6 soon, have another 3 in QT right now. Nothing is wrong with them but since I bought them recently just wanted to make sure.), 7 new otto catfish (I've only had them a couple days now), 2 old kuhlI loaches, and 5 old neon tetras.
To my knowledge the water parameters are good. I haven't checked them for a little while now since my tank is very stable and cycled, but I will test the water again soon just to make sure. Will post parameters if anything is abnormal.
This tetra was swimming near the surface of the tank away from the other fish which is funny. All the tetras usually swim relatively together near the bottom half of the tank. I netted him and put him in a small container to examine him more closely. It was supper easy to net him. I just scooped him out of the tank. Usually the tetras dart around all over the place when the net comes in and it is near impossible to catch them. I haven't put him back in the tank just in case he has something the other fish haven't caught yet. He is in a plastic container floating on the tank water's surface so he stays the correct temperature.
None of the other fish have shown any signs of illness and I hope it stays that way. Last time a fish showed signs of illness half the stock in my tank died. I don't want history to repeat itself.
What should I do?

Sick Neon Tetra
Neon tetra has pink, slightly inflamed gills and is tilted to one side when swimming.
Swimming while tilted to one side? NOT NORMAL!
What's wrong with him? Other thank some pink and slightly inflamed gills and leaning to one side...
