My neon tetra is staying in one spot near some rocks and every time another fish comes near he chases them away? I just did a water change yesterday. Is something wrong? or is he just acting up to day?

Maybe the neon is marking it's territory?? I have never heard of it happening but I guess anything is possible. Whatever it is, it shouldn't last more than a couple days. Is it a single neon or do you have a school?

Mine do the same at times, so I did not think about it as something being wrong.
I have a group of eight Neons, they are spread all over the 55gl tank, and each has a plant, rock or cave to defend. In my eyes normal behavior, but curious what others have to say

That's how Neons breed. A male stakes out a spawning spot, chases others away and entices a female to spawn there. Keeping water 74F may help curb aggression.
