Can I put Neolamprologus Multifasciatus in a 29 gallon. I heard they like long tanks, and here are my tank dimensions.

Length: 30 in
Height: 18 in
Width: 12 in

Yes you can, I've heard of them even being kept in 20 or 15 gallons, so 29 is sufficient.

Will they be fine if my 29 gallon isn't long

Yes 30 inches long is still good in my opinion.

I am still missing our shellies that I gave away a few days ago. I counted exactly 90 adults and teenagers in the 2 foot tall 80 litre/ 21 gallon.

You will be fine if you give them lots of shells and a little food each day.
