Need To Rehome Ropefish.

I have been trying to rehome my ropefish for a while. His name is Mushu

I have a 20gal with some cories, a betta, and snails but when I saw him at a pet store the guys there assured me he'd go great in my 20gal. They also said two neon dwarf rainbowfish were fine, AND sold me a rat but called it a mouse but its ok because I rehomed the other fish and now I have two rats!

But anyways, I should have done more research and not impulsively buy lil Mushu just because he looks rad.

I don't want to give him to my LPS because they have no other ropefish and I'm sure he'll be bought again by someone who'll keep him in an inadequate tank.

I know its a long shot, but if anyone's in Alabama willing to take my boy, I'd be so grateful. I want him to be happy like he deserves.

I really am do attatched to him so I'm a little sad but I do want him to be happy.

But, I was thinking.. I'm moving sometime in 2019 and after moving into a new place, I will have plenty of room for a much bigger tank. Do you think he'd be fine until then? He's about 6 inches long right now..

 

I've heard they're slow growers so if you really want to keep him you might be okay if you get him into a bigger tank within a year. He'll grow more slowly if you don't overfeed him, too (most aquarium fish are fed more than they need to be).

 

I would tank him as well. HE IS SOO CUTE. But I live in MN.

I wish I lived in your state. I would take him in heart beat. I just lost my green spot wild betta. His name was Mushu. I'm sorry the pets store suck for info. He is so adorable. I'm in Vermont. I hope you find a home for mushu.
