Need Plant Ideas: 10 Gallon Caridina Tank

Hey all! I wanted to try out some new aquatic plants for my upcoming 10 gallon Caridina tank. Have ADA aquasoil going in capped with some sand/gravel mix seeded from other tanks. I’ve never used a true aquasoil before. Currently I have 8 planted tanks growing really well with Anubias, Amazon swords, dwarf tiger lotus, vals, and floaters. I want to branch out and try some different plants. Low tech setup with a finnex light.

There's nothing wrong with capping Aquasoil, but you don't have to. It isn't messy like loose soils.

Some other nice plants to consider: cryptocorynes, bucephalandras, Subwassertang, Rotala rotundifolia, and Hygrophila difformis.

Thanks for the suggestions! I’m capping for aesthetics personally

I very much like the combo Heteranthera zosterifolia and Ludwigia mini super red.

As well as the combo Limnophila sessiliflora and Rotala Rotundifolia h'ra, or another Rotundifolia variety that has orange tints in the upper regions.

And combine the combo's by placing the L. mini super red between H. zosterifolia and L. sessiliflora:

H. zosterifolia, L. mini super red, L. sessiliflora and R. rotundifolia h'ra.

They are all super easy, low light/co2 plants, and importantly, well suited for small tanks, given their small leaves.

Good suggestions! I’m going to be ordering the plants in the next week or so. My LFS doesn’t stock anything besides Anubias basically
