Need Info About Rainbow Cichlids.

I have a pair of Rainbow Cichlids. They are 3 1/2 yrs old and have successfully raised fry many times.

I am completely new to Cichlids and have been doing research, but I still have a few questions.

First. If one of them dies will the other one be ok? Or will it get depressed and die as well?
Along with that if I decide to sell one of them would the other be ok alone?

Is it normal for the male to be aggressive towards the female?
He will bite her and it's obvious she is kinda scared of him. I don't see any real damage, but it's also really hard to see them since they always hide when I get close to the tank.
They have been together for at least 1 1/2 yrs that I am sure of, but I think it's been pretty much their whole lives.

They are generally not aggressive In a new tank there is probably some sorting out between them going on. I think they will be fine but it is up to you.
I have had mine for a couple of years. They follow me where ever I am begging me for food. Did you read through the article I attached in your other thread?

I moved some things around in my tank a few months ago. It took mine about a week to settle in again

I read through some of it, but I will admit I didn't finish it.
I'll go and read through it now.

If one dies the other should be fine. Though I have heard of fish acting oddly after a partner's death..... I wouldn't really worry about that too much until it happens.
Yes, that's normal, as long as there is no serious damage there's nothing to worry about.
