Need Ideas for what Strain of Discus to get.

Almost ready for discus but I am stuck on what strain to choose, so I decided I would ask here!
So, please if you can suggest some strains and photos of them would be very nice! Thanks!

 

Yellow Rafflesia, Golden Tiger Pigeon, Red Malboro, Eruption, Checkered Blue Panda, something turqoise, anything leopard or snakeskin I think looks awesome. Those are my personal preferences.

Wild Green Tefe discus. If they are too expensive maybe look for F-1 or F-2 Green tefe.

 

Not a type but a place to buy. Look at the web site for Uncle Sams Discus. Sign up for his news letter. He has sales regularly. Great looking discus.

 

These are my first. Pigeon Blood or Checkerboard, I don’t know the diffrence.

 

Look like pigeon bloods but if that red continues down through the yellow it could be a checkerboard. It will take time and growth to tell what it is. Looking at them in the pic it looks like 2 different age fish. Did you buy 2 different sizes?

They are surely different sizes. I have been so hesitant at getting discus, so when I saw them at the LFS I took them home. They were the best looking there. I’m going to get 3 or 4 more here soon to join them. I was looking at Wattley Discus.

 

Well they both have great color. If there from the same hatch the smaller one may be stunted. Wattley should have great discus. He’s been around for about 30yrs.
