Can someone please tell me the name of this school freshwater fish? I bought it awhile back ago and don’t remember the name. Google is not helping much. Much appreciated!

Asking cause the other 2 look slightly gray/clear for some reason now. This guy has maintained his original color. Trying to google search info about these guys.

Here’s the one I’m most worried about. He’s practically clear right now.

Just 3 its a 10 gallon. Got a minI pleco in there right now I’m gonna have to eventually move into a bigger tank. I hear you’re supposed to have more of the tetras because small schools create higher competition. ‍♂️ But bc of the pleco I’m not trying to get more, would load the biomass. I’m fairly certain the brighter of the 3 is the bully. Always nibbling at the others. Maybe it’s stress? My tank is also due for a gravel cleaning partial water change. Not sure on my levels cause I don’t have a test kit at the moment

One of those algae eaters that suck on surfaces, part of the catfish family. “Mini” just implied young.

Yea I know, he’s only a temporary addition to this tank. Will eventually upgrade. If I don’t upgrade in time, I can always give him back to the fish store I got him from. I was having problems with white algae a few months ago, no longer the issue. Didn’t want a million snails. And the shrimp I had previously, got curious about my filter... :/

Is he even a clown first of all? And not atm. You seem like the expert here. Seems to be getting larger off his wafer/algae diet. Now that I’m looking at him and the pics, not sure.

The fish I pulled up earlier was from google. I was in bed it was like 2am lol the other picture got removed for copyright. This picture is the picture I just took of him. Bn?

The fish store really didn’t load me up on any info besides telling me I would have to upgrade to a minimum of 20gal tank. I didn’t get any specific name for it, the lady just called it a pleco. And when I first got him he was darker looking. Why at first glance last night on google I assumed clown as well. But he has gotten a bit fater and looks more of a brown/grayish than before and is fully spotted no large distinct stripes on his body.
Have a lot going on rn and just had time for basic care, not studying up on fish lore like I did when I first got them. (Move, loss of work, finding a new job, ect) (I am a total beginner)

But my main shock came from the 2 clear looking sepreas.

Found them online. Holy cow they all look very different. Lol he has little things on his nose. Nothing like some of them. Least he won't get up to 24in if so lolo
