I have had my tank set up for 3 months now it's 120 gallon I decided to get some new fish I was to eager to get them in the tank so I didn't quarantine them. The other day I noticed one of my clown loaches had a white spot and I didn't think anything it. Now 3 of them have 1 or 2 white spots. I just bought some nox ich because it was recommended at the fish store. But now that I have researched more my clown loaches might not be able to handle it and I don't want to lose any fish. I started raising the heat today so I can get it up to about 85 to 86 and then keep doing gravel vacs and water changed every day. I heard this would be the best way with out using med since the ich is not on a huge outbreak ....... yet. I have some really expensive fish and do not want to lose any. Is this the best way that I should go about this ich problem. This will be the first time I have gotten ich in a tank and I am scared of losing fish...

Heat only treatment is what I would recommend.

https://www.fishlore.com/aquariumfishforum/threads/ich-ick-life-cycle-and-natural-treatment.153206/

Keep heat up for 2 weeks with vacuuming the gravel as you've been doing.
Is that all the ich is still in an early stage I do not see it on any other fish. I should keep the temperature high and maybe put garlic into the tank. I heard that works to get the sys off the fish so it isn't on the fish. I don't want to use chemicals unless I start losing fish over this Nasty ich parasite

Garlic guard, or using fresh garlic boost fish immune system which helps them fight off ich. It would help keeping your fish fight it off.

What kind of fish do you have?
Are you sure it's Ick?
What are your water Parameters?
How big is your tank and do you have a heater?
what kind of filter do you have?
If you are going to dose ANY MEDS DONT FORGET TO TAKE OUT THE CARBON OR PURIGEN if you are using any of this stuff.
certain fish and shrimp/snails DO NOT do well when dosing with meds.

I have boseminI rainbows angelfish clown loaches and tetras. I have a 120 gallon I also have a pleco. I heard the clown loaches and tears don't do well with meds. My ph is 7.6 and my ammonia and nitrite is 0 my nitrate is 20 . My clown loaches are the only ones showing a few white spots mayne 1 or 2 on 3 of my loaches. I have an fluval fx5 filled with media and an aqua tech HOB 30/60 with a carbon pad in it. I have been doing lots of research and raising the heat and doin water changed every other day with gravel vacs works best without meds. The parasite is still early early stage so maybe I can fight it now without losing fish and without using chemicals which could potentially kill my fish

Alright I will put garlic in the tank for a couple days and vacuum any uneaten garlic and hopefully ich parasites that have fallen off the fish

You're doing everything right. Avoid the meds. Also remember- it'll get worse before it gets better so don't panic. Just keep taking the temp up slowly and let it run its course.

If you can heat the tank up to 86 that would help a lot. You want to speed up the process of the ick. You can only kill the ick when it is in the free swimming mode.
If you cannot heat the tank up you can try and use aquarium salt. You can add 1 tablespoon per 10 gallons.
I had success by using salt and Paraguard. I use only half dose of paraguard because I had shrimps, tetras, cory's, and loaches. I had zero die and killed the ich.

Good Luck!

Sorry I couldn't write a little more I was at a dinner.

your water parameters are all good and if you don't want to use meds for now you can try aquarium salt.
'I got this off a website it should help you......

Once the replication is complete, the trophont bursts and releases the newly-formed tomites into the water. The tomites are motile and swim around the tank searching for a fish to attach to. Once they attach to a fish, the cycle will start over again. It is during this stage that ich is most susceptible to treatment. Many of the available medications will kill the tomites, thereby stopping the cycle of ich in your tank. It should be noted that these tomites will only survive for 48 hours, if they do not find a fish to attach to. These tomites will also attach to plants, filter material, etc. So if you move a plant from an infected tank into a clean tank, you have just infected the clean tank with ich. Depending on the water temperature, the whole cycle can take from 4 days to several weeks.

Are your fish stressed from anything you can think of? When a fish has some kind of stress it lowers their immune system and that's when they can get ich.

if you do a half and half method like I did I would use 1 tablespoon of aquarium salt for every 20 gallons and start with 1/2 dose of Paragurad. Keep using the Paragurad until you don't see any more white spots on your fish BUT keep dosing for 2-3 days after that.
'Also if you can do daily water changes about 20% I would do more but I know a 120 is big and that's a lot of water. Make sure to vacuum your substrate and in your substrate especially. The water that you take out can be used on your lawn or plants you have outside. The med and salt shouldn't do any damage to the plants.
And the MOST important thing is to take out any source of carbon, Purigen and chemipure if you are using any of those.

Good Luck!
